Mouse Hole Bench

Stage: prototyping

Material: reclaimed floorboard, MDF, brass screw, FLOS Glo-Ball Light

The experimental process started from trying to deal with the annoying leftover wood board. We came up with the idea of creating some functional companions for life instead of conventional furniture. Like nomad life’s furniture, the pieces are made to be used in multiple ways and spaces.

The process is also an experience of dealing with the limits of the material in quantity and character.

After testing the ideas with the beginning #1 #2, the intention grows to the rolling out to more materials - plywood, solid wood, stone.

#2 Mouse Hole Bench

A hallway bench designed as a pleasant and characteristic present for the space. It is integrated with multi - uses: seating on, leaving small items on, and hiding shoes underneath. The recessed handles are made for easy moving around,
